Publié à l'occasion de l'exposition If only the sea could sleep, à la HAB Galerie à Nantes (en 2019), le présent ouvrage restitue un ensemble inédit d'oeuvres de l'artiste Claire Tabouret. Inspirées par la poésie d'Adonis, elles tissent une narration visuelle à la fois fragile et puissante sur le rapport amoureux et ses complexités. This catalogue, which is being published for the exhibition If only the sea could sleep at the HAB Galerie in Nantes (in 2019), presents a new selection of works produced by the artist Claire Tabouret. Inspired by the poetry of Adonis, they weave a visual narrative that is at once fragile and powerful, a tale about love relationship and its complexities. The viewer experiences a space informed by the whiff of long journeys by sea, somewhere between contemplation, a quest for self and the other, and a hand-to-hand struggle with the elements. This richly illustrated volume is an invitation to continue this pictorial odyssey.
