Hidden in the Northern Rainforest

In this publication, for the first time the unique diversity of butterflies, especially moths, of this habitat is presented systematically and in great detail.

Using a light trap, author Armin Dett captured and photographed the fascinating creatures and then released them.

In cooperation with leading scientists and specialists, 400 specimens were precisely identified and assigned and their families characterized and described.

The photos and texts not only inspire wonder at what nature is capable of creating, but also serve as an identification guide and a valuable research tool.

In this age of climate change and habitat destruction this collection is also a plea for the preservation and protection of this incomparable natural paradise in the Indian Ocean.
