Neuropsychiatric issues in epilepsy

Many patients with epilepsy are affected by a variety of neuropsychiatric comorbidities, which significantly affect the quality of their daily and social lives. Various pathogenic and pathoplastic factors contribute to the onset and chronic progression of neuropsychiatric symptoms in different stages of life. This book presents the state-of-the-art of neuro-psychiatry in epilepsy and discusses the known and unknown in this field, with the aim to provide important suggestions for future research and clinical management of patients with epilepsy.
