Quatrième de couverture
Sapodilla
In Sapodilla, Michael Rothenberg takes us from a car submerged in the Everglades through suburban streets to a cosmic place high above the earth. This book of discreet, yet interconnected images reads like a sensual, spiritual, savvy memoir. In snapshot verses, the poet shepherds us along on a murky and humid nostalgic romp. Rothenberg is a master of juxtaposition, combining and redistributing the personal and the universal in a way that becomes transformative for the reader. With this poet as your guide, you too, will find yourself « addicted to euphoria ».
