Biographie

Glenn Janes was born in Wiltshire, England in 1954 and was educated at Marlborough Grammar School and North East Essex Technical College and School of Art. A professional musician, his interest in Ancient Egypt dates back to the British Museum's Tutankhamen Exhibition of 1972. He subsequently studied Egyptology under Professor Rosalie David at the University of Manchester and is the author of a thesis on Ancient Egyptian Musical Instruments.

Shabtis - A Private View is the outcome of his extensive study of Egyptian shabti figures, during the course of which he has visited museums and consulted leading authorities in this field all over the world.

Glenn Janes is a member of the Egypt Exploration Society.

Tom Bangbala is a leading photographer who has visited over 34 countries in pursuit of his art. Based in the north west of England, he has a wide interest in all aspects of the visual arts including digital multimedia. He is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and a Licentiate of the British Institute of Professional Photographers.
