Petter Hegre was born in 1969 in the Norwegian town
of Stavanger. He studied photography at the Brooks
Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara and worked
as an assistant to Richard Avedon in New York. In 2000
he experienced a great success with his first book
My Wife. In 2001 at the "Erotic Oscar" in London he
was received the "Erotic Photographer Of The Year"
award for his work ; the renowned publication The
Mammoth Book of Erotic Photography ran a story
on him. His creative life is based in his studio in
Stavanger. From here he makes forays into countries
around the world, always on the lookout for new,
young, talented models for his erotic photo art. An
increasing number of clients from the fashion and
advertising industries are becoming accustomed
to his fresh and lively style.
